Thales and KNDS France have launched a land-based adaptation of the RAPIDFire system, originally designed for naval defense, to shield key assets in rapidly evolving battlefield conditions.
The system provides short-range defense against threats such as drones, loitering munitions, basic cruise missiles, and indirect fire attacks.
With an engagement range of up to 4 kilometers (2.5 miles) and a 140-round ready-to-fire capacity, RAPIDFire can maintain extended operations with reduced reload interruptions.
