Raytheon has landed a $646-million order from the US Navy to deliver four additional SPY-6(V) radars.
Including this latest contract, a total of 42 SPY-6 units are now under agreement, with deliveries scheduled through 2028. The radar provides comprehensive 360-degree surveillance and is built to detect and counter cruise missiles, air and surface targets, and electronic warfare tactics.
The radar systems are produced at Raytheon’s Radar Development Facility in Andover, Massachusetts—a 30,000-square-foot site that houses vertically integrated, automated production capabilities for multiple programs.
This facility enables simultaneous integration and real-time testing of radar systems for US and allied military needs.
Earlier this month, Raytheon secured another contract worth $536 million to provide additional SPY-6 radars for the Navy.
