To strengthen their Arctic capabilities, Royal Marines Commandos have been equipped with 159 new Lynx Brutal Over Snow Reconnaissance Vehicles. These snowmobiles were delivered to the UK Commando Force, the Royal Marines’ brigade-level operational unit, and will be used to support reconnaissance, raiding, and strike missions. Although specialist teams had access to similar platforms in the past, evolving combat strategies require greater mobility across broader operational areas, prompting the latest procurement.
