United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) released new footage on November 9 showing the Su-57’s forward internal weapons bay open, housing two large anti-radiation missiles. The reveal underscores the fighter’s advancing role in suppression-of-enemy-air-defenses (SEAD) missions using internally carried weapons. Its timing—just ahead of the Dubai Airshow 2025—appears aimed at boosting export visibility and reinforcing upgrade narratives around the fifth-generation jet.
The footage marks the first confirmed view of the Su-57’s forward bay configuration, captured on the test aircraft T-50-9 “509.” The video shows the jet performing dynamic passes with bay doors partially open, aligning with recent statements from Rostec about enhanced deliveries and system updates. The sequence is particularly notable for showing an internal SEAD loadout while short-range air-to-air missiles remain mounted externally—a rare configuration for a stealth platform.
More significant than the aerobatic display is what the video confirms: the forward bay houses two Kh-58UShK anti-radiation missiles, modified for internal carriage with folding fins and fitted to Vympel’s UVKU-50 ejector system. Prior technical data had suggested such an integration, but this footage provides the first in-flight validation. The imagery substantiates the Su-57’s dual-bay design and confirms that heavy anti-radiation stores can be safely ejected from its forward compartment—offering clear evidence of the Felon’s evolving operational maturity.
