TactiGate XD: Saab and Clavister’s New Defense-Grade Cybersecurity Solution
Saab and Clavister have introduced TactiGate XD, a cross-domain platform that unites Saab’s TactiGuard technology with Clavister’s CyberArmour firewall to safeguard classified military communications.
The system allows secure, real-time data exchange between domains, ensuring soldiers can access and share sensitive mission information without compromising security.
Expanding on their July collaboration, the companies combined cross-domain expertise and advanced cybersecurity tools to meet evolving defense requirements. “TactiGate XD enables secure, multi-domain information exchange, allowing defense forces to act with greater speed and confidence,” said John Vestberg, Clavister CEO.
The solution includes policy-based access control, deep protocol inspection, dynamic routing, and encrypted tunnels, aligned with NATO standards. It protects networks from denial-of-service attacks, malware, and software exploits, while minimizing risks linked to human error.
Equipped with on-device AI anomaly detection, multi-factor authentication, and robust encryption, TactiGate XD strengthens the resilience of both remote and autonomous platforms.
By consolidating multiple cybersecurity functions into a compact system, it reduces operational footprint and power demands, a key advantage for environments where resources are constrained.
