Safran Electronics & Defense and Trillium Engineering, a U.S.-based leader in compact electro-optical solutions, announced an international partnership during the opening of the Paris Air Show. The collaboration will expand Safran’s Artis portfolio, adding a series of stabilized camera turrets ranging from 2 to 25 inches. Trillium’s products introduce smaller, lightweight imaging options that complement Safran’s large-format gyrostabilized gimbals, offering tailored solutions for drones, helicopters, and light aircraft.

Both companies bring expertise in creating smaller, lighter, and more energy-efficient systems—features increasingly critical to modern aerial operations. These innovations will improve mission flexibility and enhance operational performance.

Trillium is well known for its lightweight EO/IR gimbals designed specifically for unmanned aerial platforms. Its systems offer high-definition electro-optical and infrared imaging, laser designation, and accurate geolocation, significantly boosting ISR mission effectiveness.

This partnership reflects both companies’ dedication to advancing electro-optical technology and meeting the fast-evolving needs of global defense and security forces.
