To boost its air defense capabilities, Italy has selected the German-made Skynex system, placing a €73 million ($75 million) order for one unit, Rheinmetall announced. This initial system will serve as a test platform for the Italian Army. The package features a powerful sensor and tracking module, a central command station, and four 35mm weapon units, as well as ammunition, spares, training programs, and maintenance services.
