Turkish shipbuilder STM has commenced steel cutting for three Ada-class corvettes designated for the Royal Malaysian Navy, under a contract signed in June. The ceremony, held at STM’s Istanbul facility, officially marks the start of production, with the vessels scheduled for delivery by mid-2028. Known as Littoral Mission Ships (LMS), the fleet will support the Southeast Asian nation in carrying out a variety of missions in open waters upon completion.
