Airbus has secured an order to supply two more A330 Multi-Role Tanker Transport (MRTT) aircraft for NATO’s expanding aerial refueling and transport fleet.

The additional aircraft, set for delivery in 2028 and 2029, will grow the Multinational MRTT Fleet (MMF) to 12 platforms.

The contract was finalized as Sweden and Denmark became the latest members of NATO’s MMF program, a joint initiative overseen by the Support and Procurement Agency that allows participating countries to share strategic airlift and refueling assets. The MMF now comprises eight member nations.

Airbus stated that the assembly and conversion of the additional A330s will take place at its Toulouse and Getafe production centers.
