Rheinmetall has secured a contract from Sweden to supply Mk82 bombs intended for the country’s Gripen aircraft, enhancing the Swedish Air Force’s ability to engage ground targets. Valued at more than 100 million Swedish kronor ($9 million), the order is slated for delivery in the second quarter of the current year. The Mk82 munitions are fully compatible with the Jas 39 Gripen C/D and E variants.
