Saab has secured an order from the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration (FMV) for Giraffe 4A radar systems and accompanying services to support the Swedish Armed Forces. The contract, valued at around SEK 1.4 billion, includes deliveries slated for 2026-2027.
The Giraffe 4A will reinforce Sweden’s ground-based air surveillance with its mobile, advanced sensor technology that can be updated via software.
This multi-capable radar system can simultaneously identify and track numerous targets, making it well-suited for air and maritime surveillance alongside military air traffic control operations.
