The move follows recent tensions with Pakistan and aligns with India’s broader goal of reducing dependence on foreign arms. The Ministry of Defense stated that the Aeronautical Development Agency (ADA), which oversees aircraft design under the ministry, will implement the program through partnerships with domestic industry players.
