The Finnish Navy’s first Pohjanmaa-class corvette has been launched by Rauma Marine Constructions at its shipyard in Satakunta. The milestone involved transferring the ship to the water for final outfitting ahead of its expected delivery. Finland aims to deploy the vessel by 2027, with three additional corvettes entering service by 2029. Construction of the lead corvette began in November 2023 with the steel-cutting ceremony, and the hull was finalized in February 2025.
