Thales and the Tawazun Council have agreed to co-produce Ground Master air surveillance radars in the UAE, further advancing the country’s domestic defense industry.
Signed at the “Make it in the Emirates 2025” event, the deal supports the UAE’s push to enhance local production and defense exports.
A new facility for radar assembly and testing is expected to be operational by 2027.
Tawazun’s Matar Ali Al Romaithi called the move a testament to the UAE’s defense industry ambitions and tech leadership.
