Ahead of President Donald Trump’s scheduled visit this week, the U.S. State Department has cleared a $1.4 billion arms deal with the United Arab Emirates, officials confirmed Monday. The package includes six CH-47F Chinook helicopters and related equipment worth approximately $1.32 billion. In a statement, the Bureau of Political-Military Affairs said the sale aligns with U.S. strategic objectives and supports national security.
