Turkey has made its entry into the global hypersonic weapons race with the introduction of the Tayfun Block-4, a high-speed ballistic missile designed for superior maneuverability and enhanced resilience against modern air defense systems.

The Tayfun Block-4 is an upgraded version of the original Tayfun short-range ballistic missile, which first underwent testing in 2022.

As per local sources, the missile is 6.5 meters (21 feet) long, weighs approximately 2.3 tons (2,300 kilograms), and uses a solid composite propellant for propulsion.
