The US Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) has selected BAE Systems to continue advancing the Battlefield Assisted Trauma Distributed Operations Kit (BATDOK) as part of the new FORGE-IT (Force Optimisation through Rapid-prototyping, Gear Enhancements & Innovative Technology) initiative. The combined effort will significantly improve battlefield medical support, allowing warfighters to efficiently administer care to injured troops and ensure consistent treatment throughout their recovery journey. BATDOK, developed with BAE Systems’ support, is a digital solution that tracks medical interventions from injury to recovery, replacing traditional paper records and providing seamless information transfer to follow-on medical personnel. FORGE-IT will build on this foundation by integrating artificial intelligence and expanding remote monitoring capabilities, further advancing medical decision-making and care in combat environments.
