General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) has been awarded a $580 million task order to maintain the security infrastructure and ensure constant readiness across US Army bases.

Under this agreement, GDIT will provide Integrated Base Defense Sustainment Support, focusing on the upkeep of radars, sensors, and surveillance cameras essential for protecting installations, personnel, and assets.

These systems play a key role in preventing unauthorized entry, detecting surveillance attempts, countering drone threats, and mitigating cyberattacks. GDIT will also integrate its Cove AI Ops technology, a digital solution that leverages machine learning and advanced analytics to sift through vast datasets, monitor trends, and enable faster, data-driven decisions.

The contract will initially run for one year, with the potential to extend up to four more years.
