Zen Technologies of India has created a new optical filter that promises to improve the accuracy, lifespan, and maintenance efficiency of military laser training equipment.
The innovation, called the “Single ILU Long Pass Filter,” merges visible and infrared laser beams into one consistent output, replacing conventional systems that rely on separate beams and are prone to alignment challenges.
In laser training scenarios, visible beams help instructors assess aiming precision, while infrared beams simulate live firing—traditionally achieved through two distinct laser systems.
