Anduril UK has teamed up with GKN Aerospace to advance the British Army’s Project NYX, an initiative centered on next-generation autonomous land systems.

Under the agreement, GKN Aerospace becomes Anduril’s partner for airframe manufacturing and electrical integration, with work also taking place at the company’s Isle of Wight production facility.

The partnership forms part of a wider network of more than 100 UK-based suppliers supporting Project NYX, collectively contributing to around 50,000 jobs across the national defense industrial base.

Through this collaboration, GKN Aerospace will deliver airframe components and electrical integration for Project NYX platforms, while Anduril will oversee full system integration.

The effort also includes Archer Aviation, whose experience in eVTOL aircraft and hybrid propulsion technologies will help address the program’s requirements.

A growing number of companies beyond Anduril and GKN Aerospace are now involved in building the Project NYX autonomous systems ecosystem, offering a clearer understanding of the industrial foundation backing the program.

Archer Aviation is contributing through its partnership with both firms, applying its rotorcraft and hybrid propulsion expertise to support the British Army’s future Autonomous Collaborative Platform needs.

Additionally, suppliers such as Atom Performance Technologies, Flarebright, Olsen Actuators, and Isembard are among the more than one hundred UK companies engaged in Project NYX, providing capabilities ranging from propulsion components and micro-UAV development to actuators, embedded systems, and advanced manufacturing.
