Spanish defense firm Indra Group and Italy’s Leonardo have formalized a memorandum of understanding to deepen collaboration in cyber defense and broaden their footprint across Europe, NATO, and global markets.

The agreement was signed at Leonardo’s headquarters in Rome by Indra CEO José Vicente de los Mozos and Leonardo CEO Roberto Cingolani, with a focus on strengthening cybersecurity for critical infrastructure and accelerating digital innovation.

Under the pact, the two companies will jointly offer advanced cyber solutions, tailored training programs, and cyber management services for government and commercial clients, while aligning efforts to assess and counter emerging threats.

Indra Executive Chairman Ángel Escribano noted that the partnership is expected to enhance European industrial cooperation and facilitate joint international bids. As of early 2026, both firms employ more than 60,000 people globally, with the majority of Indra’s workforce based in Spain and Leonardo’s concentrated in Italy.
