Dronetag has been selected as one of 20 participants in the second cohort of the European Union Defence Innovation Scheme (EUDIS) Business Accelerator, under a track dedicated to counter-drone technologies.

Part of the European Defence Fund, EUDIS supports startups working on solutions aligned with Europe’s evolving defense needs. Notably, six of the selected companies specialize in counter-unmanned aircraft systems, highlighting the increasing demand for scalable drone detection capabilities across Europe.

The accelerator offers technical mentorship, industry-focused training, and opportunities to connect with defense stakeholders, investors, and EU institutions. It also includes bootcamps held alongside major European defense events and provides over 300 hours of advisory support to help companies refine their technologies and navigate procurement frameworks.

Dronetag becomes the first company from the Czech Republic to join the program. Previously, it was also selected for the NATO Defence Innovation Accelerator for the North Atlantic in 2023, marking another first for a Czech firm.

The company develops passive radio-frequency detection systems that identify drones by capturing signals transmitted either by the aircraft or their control links. Since these sensors do not emit signals, they can be integrated into existing infrastructure without causing electromagnetic interference and can operate alongside other monitoring systems.

Dronetag’s platforms rely on Remote ID, a standardized identification system mandated for many drones in the US and EU. The company is also advancing technologies to detect drones that do not transmit Remote ID signals, including identifying proprietary communication links and improving detection of first-person view systems through analysis of control and video transmissions.

Future developments include leveraging satellite navigation signals to pinpoint drone locations and enhancing resilience against spoofing and signal manipulation.
