South Korea’s Block-I EW aircraft program, a $1.31B initiative for the country’s first major electronic attack platform, has attracted a joint bid from Korean Air and LIG Nex1. Scheduled for early September submission, their plan uses a modified mid-sized civilian aircraft to detect, analyze, and disrupt enemy signals and command networks. Korean Air would oversee system integration and production, with LIG Nex1 responsible for developing and installing the EW systems.
