L3Harris Technologies has mounted its VAMPIRE counter-UAS system on the GM Defense Infantry Squad Vehicle (ISV), offering military forces a mobile, cost-efficient solution to combat small unmanned aerial threats.

The VAMPIRE (Vehicle-Agnostic Modular Palletized ISR Rocket Equipment) is a compact, autonomous defense module that combines surveillance sensors and guided munitions to identify and destroy enemy drones. Its vehicle-agnostic design enables quick mounting on various platforms, giving operators greater tactical flexibility in fast-moving operational zones.

L3Harris noted that the system has been battle-proven since 2023, successfully engaging and downing hundreds of drones in European combat scenarios.

Infantry Squad Vehicle Capabilities
The ISV, built by GM Defense and based on the Chevrolet Colorado ZR2, is a lightweight, off-road transport engineered for high mobility and rapid deployment. It features a 275-horsepower Duramax turbo-diesel engine, six-speed automatic gearbox, and a payload capacity of 3,200 pounds (1,451 kg).

Designed for air mobility, the vehicle can be sling-loaded or airdropped by Black Hawk, Chinook, Stallion, C-17, and C-130 aircraft, allowing small infantry units to deploy quickly into contested environments.
