QinetiQ and Forcys have signed an MoU to strengthen Australia’s maritime safety and sovereign capability by improving testing and assurance for undersea and autonomous systems. The partnership combines QinetiQ’s defense test-and-evaluation expertise with Forcys’ advanced underwater sensing and communications to ensure submarines, autonomous vessels, and other platforms are safe, reliable, and mission-ready. The collaboration focuses on deployable underwater test ranges that allow the Australian Defence Force to assess performance in realistic environments, supporting national priorities under the Defence Strategic Review and AUKUS Pillar 2 to boost readiness and allied interoperability amid growing regional undersea activity and emerging threats.
