Ukraine and the United Kingdom have entered a new stage of defense collaboration with an agreement to jointly produce thousands of Octopus-100 interceptor drones. The deal, signed in London under the “Build with Ukraine” program, involves the defense ministries of both nations. Production will take place in the UK, marking the first time a Ukrainian combat drone will be serially manufactured on NATO soil.

The move strengthens industrial cooperation and shifts their partnership from limited procurement to structured co-production. For Ukraine, it ensures faster drone deliveries and steady replenishment for front-line use. For the UK, it positions the country as a key manufacturing hub for systems supporting Ukraine’s defense. The announcement follows a recent demonstration of the Octopus interceptor to the UK Prime Minister, underscoring its growing operational and political significance.

The Octopus-100 is classified as an interceptor drone designed to neutralize aerial threats and protect critical infrastructure. Although exact specifications remain undisclosed, the system is expected to prioritize agility, rapid response, and scalability. The planned mass production highlights a focus on modular design, cost efficiency, and NATO-standard quality assurance.
