Ukrainian armored vehicle producer Praktika has signed an MoU with Spain’s Tecnove and Escribano Mechanical & Engineering to launch joint armored-vehicle manufacturing in Spain.
The collaboration covers multi-purpose armored vehicles, fire-support platforms, ambulances, electronic-warfare and command-and-control vehicles, and non-militarized armored systems for demining and explosive transport.
This marks the first armored vehicle co-production initiative between Praktika and the League of Defense Enterprises of Ukraine, which represents more than 75 private firms, with partners inside EU territory.
The agreement seeks to combine the partners’ expertise in specialized and defense vehicle manufacturing to develop and produce armored vehicles in Spain for EU markets, Ukraine, and allied nations.
Production will take place at a 25,000-square-meter facility in Herencia, Madrid, recently built by Tecnove for defense and security manufacturing.
The site will handle large-scale assembly of armored platforms using components from Praktika’s Ukrainian factories, with final systems delivered to Ukraine and Spain’s defense needs.
For Ukraine’s defense industry, the project embeds Ukrainian solutions into European production supply chains, increases serial production capacity while retaining core capabilities domestically, and strengthens the role of private manufacturers in EU and NATO programs.
