Israeli defense technology firm UVision has strengthened its European presence by launching a subsidiary in Munich, Germany. Named Uvision Europe GmbH, the new entity builds on UVision’s existing regional operations, where several European nations have already procured and operated its HERO loitering munitions.

The subsidiary will focus on localized development projects tailored to European operational needs and provide services including customer support, local sourcing and manufacturing, engineering, training, and integrated logistics support. It will also ensure compliance with European regulations, standards, and certification requirements, enabling smooth integration and robust supply chain operations.

Roman Didenco, CEO of drone manufacturer RD Tech Group and IT consultancy NETTACT, has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of Uvision Europe GmbH. Didenco stated that the move “brings the company closer to its customers and lays the groundwork for an increasingly independent European operation.”

UVision’s European operations include a partnership with Rheinmetall since October 2021 to market HERO kamikaze drones across the continent. Hungary placed a public order in July 2023, and additional NATO allies have signed major contracts. HERO systems are available in multiple variants, including man-portable HERO 30, HERO 120, and HERO 400, designed for engaging armored vehicles, fortifications, and fixed positions. Production takes place at Rheinmetall’s RWM Italia facility in Sardinia, Italy.
