Milrem Robotics and Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa (PGZ) have signed a memorandum of understanding to deepen defence cooperation between Estonia and Poland while reinforcing industrial collaboration across Central and Eastern Europe. The agreement focuses on the joint development of advanced defence technologies by combining strengths in robotics, manufacturing, and systems integration.

A central element of the partnership is the integration of mission payloads onto unmanned ground vehicles, enabling rapid deployment of flexible systems tailored to evolving battlefield needs. The collaboration will also explore incorporating Milrem’s autonomous technologies into PGZ’s vehicle platforms to enhance next-generation capabilities.

Beyond initial development, the agreement extends to research and development, production, maintenance, and lifecycle support, with both companies aiming to convert the partnership into future contracts for system deliveries and upgrades. Milrem Robotics CEO Kuldar Väärsi emphasized that the collaboration would drive innovation, improve interoperability, and strengthen regional security, while PGZ Vice President Marcin Idzik highlighted its role in advancing Poland’s unmanned systems ecosystem and industrial capacity.
