The United States Navy has renewed and expanded its procurement of secure communications hardware from Mobix Labs to support its surface fleet.

The agreement strengthens ongoing efforts to maintain dependable network connectivity aboard naval vessels operating in demanding maritime environments.

As part of the continuation of previously disclosed orders, Mobix Labs will manufacture specialized communications components designed to safeguard critical naval systems from signal interference and operational disruptions.

These technologies support secure network infrastructures that enable command, control, and real-time data exchange during complex naval missions.

Strengthening Naval Communications

Several major communications and networking contracts awarded by the US Navy in recent years highlight the service’s increasing focus on resilient connectivity and advanced tactical data systems.

In February 2026, L3Harris Technologies secured its largest submarine communications contract so far, covering the production of advanced connectivity suites for the Virginia-class submarine and Columbia-class submarine fleets.

Earlier in January 2026, Data Link Solutions received a $248-million contract to deliver hundreds of Multifunctional Information Distribution System – Joint Tactical Radio System terminals for naval platforms.

In January 2025, BAE Systems won an $85-million contract under the Network Tactical Common Data Link program to supply systems capable of transmitting voice, data, imagery, and full-motion video across aircraft carrier platforms and Constellation-class frigate vessels.

Later, in October 2025, Sev1Tech secured a $49-million contract to support the Naval Information Warfare Center Atlantic with cybersecurity and network engineering services.

Going further back to January 2023, SAIC received a $349-million contract to provide support for tactical networks used both afloat and ashore.
