The European-made Meteor air-to-air missile is undergoing a significant enhancement, with Spanish defense company Indra focusing on upgrading one of its most vital features.
Central to the improvement is a newly redesigned datalink intended to expand the missile’s engagement range and strengthen its resilience against electronic warfare threats.
Indra has submitted the upgraded datalink system to MBDA, the missile’s manufacturer, as well as to the Meteor program’s International Joint Project Office for technical assessment and approval.
