Teledyne FLIR has significantly enhanced its Ranger radar family, boosting detection speed, range, and accuracy to better support mission-critical operations.
The upgrades focus on the R8-3DX and R20SS variants, which are widely deployed for border surveillance, force protection, and counter-drone missions.
With the improvements, the R8-3DX can now deliver full 360-degree coverage at up to 60 revolutions per minute, while the R20SS operates at 30 RPM—reducing reaction times and minimizing the radar’s overhead blind zone.
