South Korea’s Hanwha Systems is advancing armored vehicle survivability with the introduction of a new active protection system (APS) designed to neutralize incoming threats before they strike the vehicle.

The system was unveiled at the World Defense Show 2026 in Riyadh and is engineered to counter a wide spectrum of battlefield dangers, including rocket-propelled grenades, anti-tank guided missiles, high-explosive anti-tank (HEAT) munitions, and kinetic energy projectiles.
