A Ukrainian company has initiated early development of a new air defense system positioned as a cost-effective alternative to the American Patriot platform. Kyiv-based Fire Point is engaging with European industry partners to support the project, which aims to reduce the cost of intercepting ballistic missiles to well under $1 million.
Although specific collaborators have not been publicly identified, co-founder Denys Shtiliierman stated that the company is actively seeking partnerships to advance capabilities in radar technologies, missile guidance systems, and communication networks.
