US Air Forces Central (AFCENT) is expanding its unmanned operational reach following a $270 million contract awarded to Kraus Hamdani Aerospace for the K1000ULE long-endurance aerial system.

The K1000ULE is an intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) platform capable of carrying multiple payloads and transitioning from a compact, boxed configuration to flight readiness in just 10 minutes.

Powered by solar energy, the system is described as the longest-endurance unmanned aerial platform in its size and weight category worldwide.
