A German startup is developing “spy cockroaches” capable of intelligence-gathering missions in high-risk or hard-to-access environments.
Developed by SWARM Biotactics, the modified roaches carry ultra-compact payloads for control, data transmission, and short-range encrypted communication—enabling their use as discreet, bug-sized reconnaissance tools in cluttered or GPS-jammed zones.
