Iran announced on Sunday that it will rebuild nuclear facilities damaged by Israeli and US strikes “stronger than before,” as Oman urged Tehran and Washington to revive stalled diplomatic talks.

While US President Donald Trump claimed the attacks wiped out Iran’s nuclear program, the true scale of the damage remains unclear.

President Masoud Pezeshkian reaffirmed that Tehran would restore any damaged sites, echoing remarks he made before the strikes.

In June, Israel launched a major air campaign targeting Iran’s nuclear and military infrastructure during a 12-day conflict, killing several top scientists and striking residential areas. Iran retaliated with ballistic missile attacks on Israeli cities.

Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi admitted in July that the damage was “serious and severe.”

As Oman continues mediation efforts, government spokeswoman Fatemeh Mohajerani said Tehran has received new messages about resuming diplomacy, though she gave no details.

Oman has already hosted five rounds of indirect US-Iran talks, the sixth of which was halted days before Israel’s strikes. Meanwhile, UN sanctions have been reinstated after the UK, France, and Germany activated the “snapback” clause over Iran’s alleged breaches of the 2015 nuclear accord.
