Japan is advancing its next-generation anti-ship missile program, aiming to deliver extended range and stronger resilience for protecting its island territories.
Spearheaded by the Acquisition, Technology & Logistics Agency (ATLA), the project integrates cutting-edge propulsion, precision guidance, and modern data-link capabilities within a compact, low-observable design.
Built on a modular framework, the missile includes internal payload bays and adaptable control systems—an “open architecture” approach that enables swift upgrades and seamless integration of emerging technologies.
