Lockheed Martin has extended the reach of US Army rocket artillery with a successful flight test of its Extended-Range Guided Multiple Launch Rocket System (ER-GMLRS).
Conducted at White Sands Missile Range in New Mexico, the rocket traveled 112 kilometers (70 miles), showcasing its enhanced long-range performance. The trial involved an Alternative Warhead (AW) variant fired from a High Mobility Artillery Rocket System (HIMARS), confirming both precision and effectiveness against area targets.
