A new software upgrade is boosting the capability of Northrop Grumman’s AN/TPS-80 Ground/Air Task-Oriented Radar (G/ATOR), extending its detection range and improving response times on the battlefield.
The enhancement introduces an advanced identification system, allowing the radar to more accurately differentiate friendly forces from potential threats at longer distances.
Integrated with an open-architecture command-and-control interface, the update also strengthens secure sharing of classified information across allied platforms.
