Ukrainian Startup Unveils Anti-Jamming Fiber-Optic FPV Drone
The Ukrainian firm Fold is developing a next-generation FPV drone that could achieve a range of up to 100 kilometers (62 miles), significantly expanding the reach of current designs.
The drone is modeled after commercial quadcopters—cheap, compact platforms that have been adapted to carry explosives against armored vehicles.
To counter electronic interference, Fold’s system replaces radio links with a fiber-optic cable connection, enabling operators to maintain control even in highly contested electronic environments.
