Gilat Satellite Networks has received a $9-million contract from Israel Ministry of Defense to provide and integrate military satellite communications (SATCOM) systems.
The agreement, awarded to the company’s defense division, includes next-generation defense modems and associated services as part of its ground-based SATCOM portfolio. Gilat said the systems are engineered for mission-critical roles and built to perform reliably in demanding and unpredictable operational environments.
The procurement is aimed at enhancing secure and adaptable connectivity across diverse military scenarios.
The award follows continued Israeli investment in defense communications. In July 2025, Gilat secured another contract worth over $8 million for strategic communication systems, while in December 2024 Elbit Systems obtained roughly $130 million for advanced communications solutions. Around the same period, Orbit Communication Systems won a $9.1-million tender to supply satellite terminals for ground platforms.
