Hanwha Ocean has signed a strategic teaming agreement with ONEX Shipyards & Technologies Group to collaborate on defense programs for the Hellenic Armed Forces.
Under the deal, the two companies will act as prime contractors for naval and coast guard projects being advanced by Greece, including submarine-related efforts, supporting Hanwha’s expansion into Europe.
The partnership will strengthen capabilities in ship construction, maintenance, and lifecycle support, while boosting Greece’s domestic maritime defense industry.
It also outlines plans to pursue additional opportunities across the Mediterranean and Black Sea markets in the coming years, leveraging ONEX’s shipyard operations in Syros Neorion and Elefsis.
