Italy has awarded L3Harris a $300 million contract to deliver two Gulfstream G550 aircraft outfitted for electromagnetic warfare missions.
These specially modified G550s will provide the Italian Air Force with advanced long-range airborne jamming capabilities designed to disrupt adversary communications, radar, and navigation systems.
The aircraft will become part of Italy’s special mission fleet, which includes the Joint Airborne Multi-Mission Multi-Sensor System (JAMMS).
JAMMS forms a key component of L3Harris’ global multi-mission aircraft portfolio, which also serves allied forces in the U.S., Australia, Canada, Japan, and South Korea.
