Raytheon has been awarded a $51.9 million contract by the US Marine Corps Systems Command to produce and deliver Stinger air-to-air launchers.
The agreement also covers support equipment, operator training, engineering services for system integration, and lifecycle management to address parts obsolescence.
The launchers will support the Ground Based Air Defense (GBAD) and Marine Air Defense Integrated System (MADIS), both of which rely on the Stinger missile to defend against low-altitude aerial threats.
Production will primarily take place in Tucson, Arizona, with additional work conducted in Diné, New Mexico. Completion is expected by September 2026.
