The British Army in Brunei has taken delivery of two H145-based Jupiter HC Mk2 helicopters as part of a six-aircraft order, following Airbus’ delivery of three units to the UK in 2025.
Operated by 667 Squadron Army Air Corps, the helicopters will support jungle training and a broad range of missions, including medical evacuation, troop transport, external load operations, firefighting, general aviation tasks, and intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance roles.
The procurement is part of a UK Ministry of Defence program finalized in April 2024 to enhance support for British forces in Brunei and Cyprus. In December 2025, Airbus Helicopters was awarded a £33.6 million ($45.3 million) two-year contract to provide initial support and maintenance for the Jupiter HC2 fleet.
All six helicopters are expected to be deployed in theater by the end of 2026. With deliveries completed within just two years, the program has been described by the Ministry of Defence as one of its fastest procurement efforts.
The H145 is a light utility helicopter measuring around 14 meters in length and capable of carrying up to 10 personnel, in addition to one or two pilots. It offers a payload capacity of approximately 1,900 kilograms and is powered by twin turboshaft engines, enabling speeds of about 130 knots, a range of 650 kilometers, and an operating ceiling of roughly 6,096 meters.
