Munich-based ARX Robotics has signed a new agreement to supply more Gereon unmanned ground vehicles (UGVs) to Ukraine, supporting the creation of the world’s largest fully networked ground robotics fleet.
The systems, already deployed on front-line missions, will expand to hundreds of units connected through the Mithra operating system to enable synchronized large-scale operations.
Manufacturing is being shared across European and Ukrainian facilities, with local production accelerating to strengthen industrial resilience and speed deliveries.
Developed jointly with Ukrainian firm Frontline under a Europe–Ukraine initiative, the platform incorporates continuous feedback from operators in the field.
Based on the proven Gereon RCS architecture, the upgraded combat version integrates advanced AI systems.
The UGV autonomously handles tasks such as obstacle clearing and heavy-load logistics, improving operational efficiency and reducing manpower requirements across military and commercial roles.
It can carry up to 500 kilograms (1,102 pounds) over distances of 40 kilometers (25 miles) and can be configured for missions including supply transport, casualty evacuation, and forward reconnaissance.
