Overcast weather may no longer hinder Ukrainian drone operations, as French company Harmattan AI is equipping Kyiv’s platforms with advanced sensors capable of penetrating fog and darkness.
The system, known as “Sahara,” is a compact synthetic-aperture radar (SAR) built to detect concealed positions and hidden enemy assets from extended ranges.
Weighing less than 3.5 kilograms (8 pounds) and consuming only 65 watts, the radar delivers high-resolution imagery with near real-time onboard processing, maintaining performance even in contested environments.
