Ukraine’s armed forces can now procure ground robotic systems directly through the DOT Chain Defence digital marketplace, significantly expanding frontline access to automated battlefield equipment. Military units are able to independently browse, select, and order unmanned ground vehicles for missions such as casualty evacuation, logistics support, ammunition transport, and other operational tasks.

This addition strengthens a broader digital weapons marketplace that already features more than 470 products from 135 manufacturers. Available systems include FPV drones, fiber-optic-controlled UAVs, interceptor drones, and electronic warfare tools. Previously, ground robots were distributed only under the “Army of Drones Bonus” initiative, but they are now fully integrated into the standard marketplace and accessible to all participating units.

Through DOT Chain Defence, units can place orders directly, while Ukraine’s Defence Procurement Agency manages funding, contract processing, and delivery supervision to streamline the supply chain.

Launched in July 2025, the platform is part of Ukraine’s wider effort to digitize and modernize defense procurement. Its pilot phase involved around 10 brigades with funding of 1 billion hryvnia (approximately $23 million), cutting delivery times from several months to just weeks. Within its first two months, more than 17,000 drones were delivered through the system.

The platform expanded quickly throughout 2025. By October, it covered 130 brigades with additional funding, and average delivery times for in-stock drones fell to roughly 10 days. In November, authorities confirmed the delivery of 100,000 FPV drones. Continued expansion into late 2025 and early 2026 increased participation to around 180 units.

By January 2026, DOT Chain Defence had supplied more than 225,000 strike systems to Ukrainian forces, all sourced domestically, dramatically shortening the timeline between procurement planning and frontline deployment.
