V2X has secured a position on a $25-billion Pentagon engineering and technology contract designed to modernize aging systems, tackle microelectronics obsolescence, and speed up the integration of artificial intelligence.

The Advanced Technology Support Program 5 (ATSP5) serves as a contracting framework that allows federal and state agencies to issue task orders for a broad spectrum of technical services.

The program’s scope spans system analysis, design, prototyping, integration, testing, and limited-rate production. It also includes lifecycle sustainment for embedded systems, network-centric warfare capabilities, and complex system integrations.

Engineering and Modernization Priorities

Through ATSP5, V2X can compete for assignments in systems engineering, digital modeling and prototyping, automated validation, performance enhancement, and microelectronics assurance.

The company stated that its participation will align with defense priorities such as rapid procurement and seamless technology integration across multiple operational domains.

V2X joins other selected contractors tasked with helping the Pentagon upgrade legacy platforms while embedding advanced computing, autonomous systems, and AI-enabled solutions. ATSP5 is expected to be a key driver of defense innovation and technology transition efforts in the years ahead.
